best 19 inch flat screen for 500

i need to find a monitor i've aloted 500 dollars for it

i'm going to use for games and text a lot so i need it for both of them

i've looked at the viewsoncs at the store and they look pretty good
anyother recomendations

If you want a flat screen, get the DF(dyna flat) model.

If you want something more high end, check out the 900NF from Samsung and the NEC FE950.

You could also check out www.pcworld.com for their "Top 10 19" Monitors." They update their list monthly.

I think you should go for 900NF, 955df (like mine) will probobly have distortion (curvature on the top or bottom line), or try PF790 from viewSonic, many gamers own it, love it!

Don't get anything from Samsung! I have looked at Samsungs, and they just don't have any contrast at all. Eveything looks greyish and blah. I have a viewsonic pf790, the colors are vivid, and it is great for games and anything else you may use on it. Also I got it refurbished for cheap.

The best 19" CRT I'ver seen so far is the LG Flatron 915 FT+ - and its under $500. IMHO its technology is superior to the other monitors.
