Hello All,

Currently I'm researching information re: 19 inch CRT monitors. I would like to make a purchase soon since my NEC is on the blink. I am upgrading from a 14 inch monitor. Briefly I am looking for a monitor with excellent graphics to use in desktop publishing and photo editing. I also need to have the best text possible for use in wordprocessing, spreadsheets, etc. I have reviewed monitors offered by ViewSonic, Dell, Sony and Samsung. I have decided to purchase my monitor online to take advantage of the larger selection available. I will spend between $300 to $400. I have seen the Dell P991 and have read reviews on the P95f, G420S and 900NF. Are there other series offered by these vendors that provide great text and graphics? Thanks for your comments.

Best Regards,
Gary Hendricks

I agree with fo_sho, Vision Master 454. Excellent overall choice. Check out tom's review... <A HREF="http://www6.tomshardware.com/display/20020319/index.html" target="_new">here</A>

The Vision Master Pro 454 is indeed a good choice, but WHERE are you going to buy it? Its not exactly readily available and I figured that out by searching for it because I am going to buy a 19" CRT soon as well. However, my choices are the Sony CPD-E440/B ($300 w/ free shipping on a site) or the P95f ($291 total with shipping). Its tough to pick out the best monitor because its hard to find these in stores nowadays. I would say that either one is good, though I would lean more towards that Sony or the P95f. You can't go wrong with either one of those, but I have heard so-so things about the 900NF.
