Hey guys, I'm looking for a really good 21" monitor without having to go the "professional" route and spend $1500-$2000. I currently have a 21" Trinitron Dell P1110 (I think is the model number, the one before the black P1130s). I now notice the picture has a green tint, and it doesn't produce pure blacks. I don't know if this is because of the age of the monitor (around 5-6 years old) or if Trinitrons are known to have that problem. I don't know if it was like this earlier on when I had it because I wasn't very "color aware" and its hard to notice sometimes unless you compare it to other monitors beside it. I turn the brightness all the way down and it still doesn't produce pure blacks. I tried a color return as well. I found a Trinitron 21" Dell P1130 for $300 "overstock" that I am thinking about getting (never used, still packaged, but like 3-4 years old), but if this problem is known to be related to trinitron's I'd rather get something else. I'm also wondering if there is something out there better. I havn't seen any 21" CRT reviews in a while. I'd like a decent dot pitch and ACCURATE color. And no, I do NOT want an LCD.
