1.0-2.0GHz systems w/SOYO Dragon Plus! (SY-K7V) motherboard. Outfitting a LAN here...willing to go over $100 but not by much ;). So! What are the opinions here? I'm looking (obviously) for older cards, of which I can't seem to find much information. All the systems are running XP pro. I realize that DirectX9-requiring games aren't really going to run that great on any cheap DX9 card...but I gotta get these up to speed, I'll worry about DX later.

For <$100, look no further than the nVidia GeForce4 Ti4200. You can find one of those for about $80.

nVidia cheated on me so I left her for ATi. ATi's hotter anyway...

And don't forget to mention that the Ti4200 is NOT a 32 meg card, but a 64 meg card. Not only that it is probably the fastest 64 meg card ever created.

My OS features preemptive multitasking, a fully interactive command line, & support for 640K of RAM!

From one of the brands not suggested in the Buyer's guide like eVGA or something like that. THE MSI 64 meg was $80 at http://www.gameve.com The 128 meg MSI was $130, which is a bad deal. At that pricepoint, you would be better of with a Radeon 9600 Pro 128 meg for just $6 more.

Thanks guys! This is precisely the response I was hoping to hear :). UFO, I'm going to check out the MSI but I think I'm going to go with the suggested GeForce...thank you regardless :).
