Best 4 pin ATX to 8?

I bought an ASUS M5A97 EVO R2.0 and my psu don't have a 8 pin ATX.
I bought an adaptor like this

¿Is this better than a classic 4 pin to 8 pin adapter? (Like this)

I mean... in my case I should obtain more wattage or amperage... right?

Thanks!

(I will upgrade the psu when I will buy a good graphic card that needs extra power)
