Best 4k monitor for the money

I am looking for the best bag for buck 4k monitor. I like the Asus PB287q but I'm wondering if there is anything better for the money.

For gaming the best bang for your buck would be the $800 ASUS ROG PG278Q G-SYNC.
You need a lot of money for a good 4k gaming build right now.

You need a lot of money for a good 4k gaming build right now.

Not sure why people are saying a 1440p monitor is the best bang for your buck at 4k.... but ok.

The best bang for your buck with a 4k monitor right now is the Acer XB280HK Gsync. Less than the 1440p one mentioned above and looks superb. Happy gaming.

Im going to be in the same boat I'm buying a gtx 980 sli and want to get a new 4k monitor eventually for gaming?

I'm not getting any straight forward answers to 4k gaming on Tomshardware though.

4K isn't worth it right now. The monitors have lackluster performance and you need a ton of hardware to even push nice performance anyway. Get the ASUS PG278Q ROG Swift http://www.amazon.com/PG278Q-27-Inch-Scr.... The ROG Swift with a pair of GTX 980's can easily max out any game with at least 60fps and it will look amazing.

I have this setup and would take it over any 4K setup hands-down.

ROG Swift with a pair of GTX 980 is indeed the best bet for gorgeous gaming right now.
