Hi guys, was looking for a good budget 1080p monitor that I can play at a decent manner in playing FPS games. e.g. BF4, CS:GO
I was leaning on getting three benq xl2420t but I think it's really out of my budget. I just want a monitor that has a decent response time and frequency.

Solution
That is subjective, and you need to be able to run 5760x1080 consistently above 60fps for it to be worthwhile. Need a lot of GPU horsepower to pull it off. Many people are satisfied with anything about 24-30 FPS.

I would say it is worth it if you are willing to pay for it, but I think now isn't the best time to be monitor shopping. Major transitions kicking off with 4K, G-Sync/FreeSync/AdaptiveSync, and IPS/IZGO screens becoming gaming friendly.

Been doing a lot of research and shopping for a G-Sync monitor, not really willing to pay $800 for what is available now. Already have a 1920x1080 27" screen, and that has been doing okay for a while. Quite a few reasonably priced G-Sync 1920x1080@144hz monitors at 24" and 27". 27" ROG Swift...

You aren't going to be getting 144hz for $150

Have you considered buying them one at a time?

Hmm, not much in the 24" range, this would be a big step down from what you wanted.

BenQ GL2460HM (Looks like it has pretty small bezels, 2ms 1920x1080 at 60Hz)

Is there a big difference using 60hz from 120hz-144hz? Do I really need it?

Some of the 28" 4K monitors are nice, but they are limited to 60Hz.

I'm not really sure If i'm able to max out any games with a 2-way SLI GTX 970 on a 5760x1080 resolution, but I hope it will. Well I don't really want those G-sync monitors because they're too expensive ATM. might consider getting them in the future once price drops. and I don't want to spend extra if playing on a 144hz monitor would have a little to no difference on a 60hz monitor.
