Hey everybody, I have picked out everything for my custom computer. But I still need to get a Cpu cooler. I want to get a water cooler. Now I know most of you will say that air cooling is quieter, and a lot cheaper. But it's just to bulky for me. So can anyone tell me what water cooler is the best in performance and quietness. I have heard that the two best water coolers out now are the Nzxt Kraken x60 and the Corsair H100i. But are their any other coolers that perform better and are quieter then the two I listed. I am getting a Nzxt Phantom 820 so the size of the radiator doesn't matter. I just want to know what water cooler is the best in performance and quietness. Also I have heard that the fans that come stock with the cooler are really noisy. So what fans would you recommend replacing them with. I have heard that the Noctua Nf-f12 are good but is there any other fan that performs better and is quieter? Hope to hear back! Thanks!

The Swiftech H220 and H320 are the best and can be bought here. http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=79583&vpn=H220&manufacture=Swiftech

Here is a good comparison with AIO's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWQGmX994fU

These fans are quiet and Corsair stock fans are loud indeed. I have a few laying around.
If you want replacement fans. I have the Noctua NF-F12's. Nothing beats their performance and noise level (if you would even dare to say they make sound at all. The Swiftech cooler with those fans is amazing. The video has a comparison with those fans on the radiator as well as stock fans.

For my rigs I went with the XSPC Raystorm 750 EX360 from here http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21236/ex-wat-271/XSPC_Raystorm_750_EX360_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_New_Rev_4_Pump_Included_w_Free_Dead-Water.html?tl=c83s137b49 . I have found them to be just about the best AIO kits. They come with everything you need minus the coolant. And I thing they are much better than the AIO kits like the H100i. I did have a H100i in my i5 3570K rig for about two months until the pump died on it. I have been using XSPC kits for over two years now and have not had any problems with any of them.

You can get kits with radiator sizes from single 120mm to quadruple 120mm sizes to fit just about any case size you would need.

Ok thanks for the info I think I am going to get the H220 with the Nf-f12 fans. But could you tell me if I should replace the fans in my phantom 820 to the nf-f12 fans as well or are the fans that come with the case quiet? Also when I install the cooler do I have to remove the fans installed above the cooler or can I have them ontop

I would remove the fans on the cooler and use them as extra case fans if you can. You would only get a tiny bit better temps with the fans in push/pull. I would just let the Noctua's run on your radiator.

As for the fans go in your case. They shouldn't be too loud. If you want you can replace them, you can. Your case would be dead silent. Though, they are static pressure fans, so they are not usually case fans. They will still work for cases. I would use them for any place that move air through tight spaces. But for the most part, I would save your money and stick with the fans that come with your case. And if they end up being too loud, you can always swap them out later.
