Hello all!

I just purchased the Corsair Carbide Series AIR740 and swapped my components over. I have more fan location options than my previous case and want to make sure I've got the best possible air routing. Here's how she's currently set up:

Let me know your thoughts!

Specs:

  • i7 7700k w/ Asetek 550LC cooler
    MSI Z270 PC Mate
GTX 1080 Armor OC (not overclocked)
    Ballistix 16G RAM x2

Solution
starting at top corner going clockwise with the radiator being the last fan.
exhaust, exhaust, intake, intake, intake, intake, intake, exhaust
exactly like you said but I would put the radiator towards the front of the case vs the rear

the top front fan should provide cool air for the radiator. lower 2 front fans and bottom fans will provide cool air for the GPU which will be exhausted out of the rear and top. the intake fans should be able to run at lower speeds than the exhausts which should keep the noise down.

R_1, thanks, I will definitely do that and make the other top fan exhaust as well. Would you then suggest to change the bottom two fans to intakes?

It'd then be:

2 intakes from the bottom
3 intakes from the front

2 exhausts on top (one being the radiator
1 exhaust in back

Thoughts?
