I have 4 Noctua NF-A12X25 PWN fans I plan to install in the back of the case, and 7 Noctua NF-A14x25 fans, 3 for the front, three on my H170i elite cooler, and one in the rear.

My first thought was to have the four 120s in the side panel as intakes, and the three front fans will be the same - intakes. My exhausts would be through the cooler (H170i elite 420mm all in one) up top, as well as the single fan in the rear.

CPU is an AMD 9950X with a mild overclock, and the GPU is an ASUS TUF 4090 OC.

The image is not mine, but it does show the case and configuration I'm talking about.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If I've left anything out I'd be happy to clarify. I've been a silent reader here for many, many years - all the way to the beginning in fact. I finally got up the nerve to post. lol

Thanks in advance.

Bob

I wouldn't have fans on the side that has the motherboard tray. Would keep the number of intakes the same as the exhausts and then see if adding fans or leaving them as is changes temps but the idea you have of your fans going on the AIO and rear isn't bad.

Static pressure for the Corsair AIO fans;

Static pressure for Noctua fans;
https://noctua.at/en/nf-a12x25-pwm/specification

I would move forward with the fan replacements.

The link you gave me for the Noctuas is for the 120s and my cooler fans are 140s.

I have a duplicate build in another 7000x (I love this case) and I have those fans set up exactly like I suggest in my post. The additional 120mms in that build gave me a few extra degrees when trying to cool my overclocked 12900KS. The additional fans also give me a nice positive airflow and dust doesn't get in my case at all. The only fan set that isn't filtered is the rear 140mm so I always leave it as exhaust as more dust prevention.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I'm currently running the fans that came in the case and the fans that came with the cooler - all Corsair and all RGB hooked to the Corsair Commander Pro... I can't wait to rip that thing our of the case and throw it in the trash.

I'm a weirdo I guess - hate RGB and love efficient, powerful, QUIET fans. Seven Corsairs running wide open while I'm processing video sounds like the jets I used to work on... LOUD. lol.. Can't wait for my Noctuas. I was just going to rob my Noctuas out of the 12900KS, but Noctua has changed their blades just a bit and supposedly they do the same work at a lower db so we'll see...

Thanks again for your advice - it's appreciated.
