Best AMD Cpu from this list?

Solution
The fx 8320e and fx 6300 are the best options there

and fx 6300 would be best for your situation, i would only get an amd CPU if you can overclock it. If not you should get an Intel i3 instead

Couldn't really find an i3 and a motherboard with usb 3 headers for the same price to performance as to what I'm currently planning on getting. Considering both a $90 motherboard and a $140 processor both for only $150 compared to something like a $220 intel build for the same price. (Deal exclusively at microcenter)

Is there a reason a 6 core is better than the 8 core for my situation? Does it have better single core performance, or?

Yes the fx 6300 has better single core

And at least on their website, I'm seeing Intel i3s for $100 and motherboards for $40. Why do you think it costs $220 for an i3 and motherboard??

And by the way, the fx 6300 is worth $100 not $140 the whole [strike]$139.99[/strike] Save $50!! Now $89.99 is a marketing tactic to make you think you are saving

I was referencing the 8320 with the $140. Anyways, would something like this be better than an overclocked 6300?

Yeah, just realized that deal doesn't apply with the z97, only reason I was going to pick it up. What motherboard from MicroCenter do you recommend with the deal they're having with the i3-4170? Will the 4170 still be fine for League and streaming at the same time? Thanks!

Alright.. well the i3-4170 isn't on sale at all and I don't have the funds to get it w/ a decent motherboard. If I do end up getting the 6300 and overclocking it, will there be any huge differences in FPS?

The FX-8320E is better. At matched clock speeds it will as fast as the FX-6300 in single core applications and faster in multi-core. Being there's little/no difference in price in store at Microcenter between the two it would be kind of foolish to get the FX-6300.

FX-63xx and FX-8xxx perform the same when clocked the same. The FX-6300 comes in clocked very slightly higher than an FX-8320, because it has fewer cores, but when gaming most of those cores will sit idle anyway. The clockspeed difference is small, so I'd personally take the 8-core.

FX-8320e comes with lower clocks than FX-8320, but is a higher quality chip, binned for its ability to run at lower voltages (and thus have a lower TDP). If overclocking, an FX-8320e is a better choice. If not, go with the 8320 or 6300.

The advantage of an i3 over an FX CPU is that the individual cores are 50-75% faster, and games generally don't heavily utilize more than 2-4 threads anyway (i3 is 2 core, 4 thread). However, an FX CPU's mostly idle-cores allow it to stream with little to no performance penalty, whereas the i3 might take a hit. An i3 is faster in 99% of games when not streaming, but I couldn't say which comes out ahead in that use-case.

he said the i3 wasn't on sale, so he was getting the 6300. But since he ended this post with a question, he might have bought the 8320e instead, which would be a better choice.
