Best amd gpu for mining litecoin for $500 or lower

This is a odd website to post a cryptocurrency mining thread but, it is the most active from my experience. Usually in the matter of minutes you get answered which is great. Title says it all. I would prefer a card with good cooling like a MSI card (assuming MSI does amd), and a good kh/s per watt ratio.

Sorry I left out a massive chunk on the actual stuff to make the rig work. Can you give me your recommendations for a Motherboard, Memory, PSU, and CPU. I probably have memory or a PSU lying around somewhere maybe even a cpu. But just give me your recommendations and if I do find parts I will just subtract the cost. And is this rig going to use 600w or around 750w? The PSU seems a bit overkill.

4 of those GPUs will pull quite a bit of power when mining. And you want some kind of headroom as well, since you'll be stressing the PSU. That's why I went with a high quality PSU as well, instead of a cheap one. You definitely don't want to skimp in the PSU area when mining.

Actually I found 7950 for $289 (Hallelujah) so I might go with that allowing me to get those other parts. I don't know if that's better. I always hear that the 7950 is the best gpu miner out there.

Yeah, you'll get around 700 kh/s or so If that's the case, you could get a lower wattage PSU and save some money. Nice find for that price in todays market lol

Hello. This is a extra question for you. I think I might just go and scrap the whole separate rig just for mining and just Incorporate the gpu into my current pc making it a pretty good gaming pc. Then I would just mine when I am away or asleep. I went to pcpartpicker and configured this upgrade:

To replace my duo core, gtx 560 ti, and mobo. Is this what config you would have picked (I configed it this way hoping that mantle will be in more games that bf4)?

Yeah that looks good. Go with Gigabyte or ASUS on the motherboard though, MSI doesn't cool their 970 boards very well. You will probably want a new power supply as well. A good 550w would be good
