Hi.
I bought recently Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00 GHz dual-core socket: 775

And.. I've been thinking about to put only 2 gigs.. But Since this processor is good and strong one, should I put it on 4 or 6 ? Or even 8, maybe?

Note: I have 4 slot channels of DDR2

Well actually, worrying about the processor and memory match is pretty pointless as very generally, even with an old slow processor, more memory is always better. But your processor, while its a bit dated, is not really that bad for general PC use. What you need to match your memory up with is first and most important, the OS. If you are running a 32 bit OS, then 4 gig is the max you can use. If you are running a 64 bit OS, you can install more. The second thing you look at is what type of programs you use. 2 gig would be a bare minimum for a modern computer running Windows. 4 gig is better, and if you have a 64 bit version of Windows, 8-16 gig is the norm now. That Core processor is in fact dated, but for most things, it is still just fine for general use, and I would suggest if you must use it, get 4 gig. If you are wanting to run the most recent games, or do anything that is CPU intensive though, you may want to look for something better to spend your money on, as already stated.

Hmm.. Well, I searched on youtube and I saw that people could play EVEN GTA 5 on Low settings which is OKAY for me...
However, I already installed 4 GB of RAM.. Also, Im running Windows 7 SP1 64-bit
But.. there's the following problem:

I put 2x2GB in my mainboard and only 3.5 GB are usable... I still dont know how to fix this :|
