I'm looking for the best and cheapest motherboard for an amd fx 9590. Unfortunately, I was stupid enough to not look at the wattage requirements before I bought this CPU out of hell, and when I tried to return it and maybe buy something that doesnt require so much wattage New Egg refused to let me because "The package was already opened". Right now I have a 140 watt motherboard and when I installed the 9590 it launched windows 10 normally then suddenly freezes. Which then the computer stays on, but my keyboard/mouse/monitor will not turn on. I had to reinstall my lower tier amd processor (quadcore P.O.S). So at the moment I just looking for a good and cheap(ER) motherboard that will actually work with my processor.

SIDE NOTE: I actually had an error code as well, (IRQL not less or equal.) What im thinking is the reason why im getting that is the drivers aren't installing properly. Any tips on that as well?

Is there anything wrong with the Asrock 970 Performance? In other words, whats the difference from this to the one you prefer, and whats your preference on the powersupply? (I have a 600Watt power supply and from what you said that isnt enough.

Sell it on eBay. The hit you'll take from selling it is less than the hit you'll take from getting this travesty of a CPU to work. Better to take a $30-$50 hit from selling the 9590 used than taking an additional $300 hit that only gets you a 9590 running.

What processor would you prefer then? If I do sell it (My motherboard is AM3+)

What AMD processor do you have now? You may simply be at a dead end.

Just sell everything the 9590 is a horrible cpu that is nearly impossible to keep stable. The am3+ socket hasn't had a worthwhile cpu for at least 4 years now. The socket is dead and I advice you to step over to a new platform.

I have a AMD FX 4300 quadcore.

Yeah thats a dead end. Time to go for a new ryzen or intel setup.

I don't know much about processors. I dont need to be able to run every single game at maximum settings with 60Fps, I just need something better than what I have. What would be the difference between a cheap(er) ryzen and an 8350?

The cheapest ryzen (r5 1400) absolutly crushes the 8350 in everything.
