Recently i bought new gaming ring and installed windows 10 pro. My existing Kaspersky Internet Security is expired today.

Here i am planning to but KIS. But now i saw Windows Defender and read some articles like this is enough.

Please suggest me which one best for me, I am using internet also.

Solution
While Windows defender is fairly good,it however does not compare to top paid antivirus like Kaspersky,Norton,Eset which provide extra features and protection.Besides you have a gaming rig and i don't think that using KIS will slow your PC down in anyway. If you're planning to use defender i suggest you to install Malware bytes along with it and scan your PC weekly.

Some of the Anitivirus to choose from

Kaspersky
Norton
Avast
Eset
Bitdefender
Quickheal

ok. Thanks. So you suggest to install Kaspersky. correct

Any of the above will suffice

Avast asks for money all the time, even after you buy their internet security suite. Bitdefender only reminds you about discounts which you may want on current subscription, they don't beg you to buy all the extra addons unlike Avast. Norton used to be bloat ware, not sure anymore. Eset seems okay, my family use that and I never seen the last name :)

Quickheal is actually quite popular in india if not anywhere else.I have seen many people use it and is fairly good.

I use Eset myself ,switched from Avast a few months back as the new version was full of ads.

I have used Kaspersky,Norton,Eset before(2009 -2011)and out of the three Eset seems to be lightweight and faster on my old system(pentium 4)and as a result i decided to go with ESET on my new system as well.

I have not used bitdefender but i heard its quite the beast when it comes to protection.
