best antivirus for windows 7, 64bit

Suggest me the best antivirus for my windows 7, 64bit pc...my Local Disk(C) is piling up during net-surfing, I am using avast antivirus now...please help

Avast is one of the most demanding antivirus out there. The avira antivirus is better and "lighter, and also free. If not, the eset is also pretty good and even lighter.

From your other post, look like you pirate softwares. I would reinstall the os first to make sure you don't have any malware. and no more pirating software.

I have AVG Free and it got rid of a svchost.exe virus that was using up almost 98% of my cpu and it didnt have any services connected to it so I knew it was a virus hosting itself as a svchost.exe. I used avira,spybot,windows defender,malwarebytes,and norton and none of them could even detect the virus except AVG Free
Try out AVG if none of the other recommendations have not worked yet
