Best Antivirus software?

Hey guys,
Which Antivirus is the best one? I am getting a new pc this week and wanted to buy an antivirus software. The os I will be using on my pc is win 8.

The only one I would use (but you have to pay for it ) is NOD32. The rest I wouldnt bother with. There's 3-4 other posts in here about AV programs.

Myself I just use windows defender. .

I would rather stay in windows not crash if I installed something else

depends what applications you gonna run(i run without any antivirus software since Windows 8 started with zero problems and im manually do Windows updates .its very good protected dont tell any one)

Avast is solid and free if you don't mind the occasional "upgrade to our paid version" pop up from time to time.
Windows Defender or Security Essentials or whatever it is now is solid enough for most people if you don't want to find something else out there.
Kaspersky is among the top paid options and is widely recommended.

Googled a bit. Found thay many are voting for Bitfender. I guess I will go with it then. Or maybe stick with windows defender

I have been using Norton 360 since it came out. I just paid for another year Oct 18, 2014. There are just too many opinions out there in to which is best. So, until an antivirus software comes along that's the newest and best sliced bread, I'll give Norton another year. Any opinions in the fallacy of my thinking are welcome. I'd like to hear from true computer geeks/nerds out there in computerland that aren't trying to sell something.:lol:

quickheal is the best antivirus for PC. i have used many antiviruses but nothing beats quickheal when it comes to usability, customer service. try using the free trial version. i am using it for over 2 years and totally happy with it...
