Hello,

I have an ASUS TUF BE3600 Router as the main AP in my house, and i need an additional router to connect to AiMesh, which will be connected wirelessly, not by cable.

Please, does anyone know which Asus Router for AiMesh is the best choice for approx. $100 ?

The router will be placed where my mobile has a stable wifi signal so there should be no problem with the signal for connecting.

many thanks for help!

What are the current signal levels, speeds, performance, etc. now?

How many network devices: wired and wireless? What specific problems, if any, are occurring?

Helpful that the existing router and the proposed router/AP are both Asus. Eliminates manufacturers blaming "the other guy".

"Best" is inherently understood.

However, there needs to be some quantifiable, measurable, and objective means of measurement and improvement.

What performance levels do you have now and what performance levels are required?

Very good that you are able to "pre-test" location(s) by using your mobile. However, a stable connection does not necessarily mean improved performance.

With mesh (and whatever "AiMesh" technically means - marketing aside - in particular) the AP may gain little in the way of requirements and performance. Could even be less for any number of reasons.

= = = =

If possible, I would try to get a second Asus BE3600 and use that - budget aside.

At least you will have a spare router available if needed....

In any case, you must quantify or otherwise establish the meaning of "best".
