best asus z97 motherboard

Hi friends i want to know if we really need a z97 motherboard for a new build.I have an i7-4770K to which i will be ocing in the near future.I have a gtx 770 and need some usb 3.0 headers.So,please suggest me a good asus z97 motherboard or any good brand .

I7-4770K will do perfectly well with either a Z97 or a Z87 motherboard which permits overclocking.
Past that, your need for features will exclude some options.
I suggest a Z97 based board regardless. It will give you a future 14nm broadwell upgrade path.

I recently installed the ASUS Maximus VII gene, a M-ATX sized Z97 motherboard.
I can't imagine anything better.
