If we connect the TV to the music speaker, will the sound come through the speaker?
Will the sound go through the TV and then to the speaker or from the source itself(e.g a USB device containing movies connected to the TV) to the speaker?
If it comes through the TV, the sound quality will bear all the imperfections of going through the tv.
Any suggestions as to the best way to get the best sound quality from the TV to the Naim Music player.

Solution
Your tv has most likely (being a modern tv) optical out. What model is your Naim? Does it have optical input?

Regarding hdd, should be able to connect it via usb if the hdd is in an external device. Ie portable hdd.
Each TV is different. You would have to tell us which TV you are using.

Sound through a TV could be possible, but your TV is not a blu-ray player, DVD player, MP3 player, etc... so don't expect it to do that.

Whatever imperfections the audio would have would be transmitted through any TV or speaker setup.

You would be best served by running your music player through your stereo receiver.

The TV is a TCL 165.1 cm (65 inches) L65P2MUS Android M 4K UHD LED Smart TV. Could we use a hard disk or a storage device that can be connected separately to the TV for video component and another to the Naim music player. This way we could get both the best video quality from the TV and best audio of the same file from the Naim muso.
