Hello Members,

I need help in which Audio Device is the best to play guitar on Discord voice channels.
The issue I am facing is when Im using an Audio device I am unable to use my gaming headset as the microphone so my friends can hear me via voice and also guitar at the same time.

I plan to record some songs onto a DAW aswell so if you can recommend a decent DAW that would be awesome.
I am planning to get plugins for Metal guitar sounds on Discord. I either want to share my screen in Discord channels so my friends can click on my share screen and hear what Im playing and at the same time I can speak to them at the same time.

Thanks for reading and replying in due time.

Regards
Madness

When it comes to audio "best" is generally subjective.

You mentioned plug-ins for Metal guitar sounds. How did you select those plug-ins? My belief is that you selected the plug-ins that simply had most audio appeal to your hearing...

That said, it is understood that some requirements can be objective: frequency ranges for example, sampling rates, etc..

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

What audio software is currently being used?

What is needed are ways and means to determine what is "best" for your requirements and audio environment.

By "Audio Device" the requirement is to add a Digital Audio Workstation - correct?

What is your budget?

What gaming headset are you using? Make and model?

What other audio devices are being used: mixer perhaps? Any adapters, splitters, cables....?

How is everything connected now?

Consider that the gaming headset may not work (or appear not to work) because of some TS, TRS, or TRRS mismatch.

FYI:

Or perhaps a simple configuration mismatch by error of omission or commission.

Right click the small speaker icon usually located in the lower right screen corner.

A menu should appear that will lead to multiple other windows, tabs, and audio related properties.

Take a close look at the current audio configuration.

First objective being to get the headset (mic and earphones) to fully function if possible.

Otherwise anything else you do or try may to do will remain problematic.
