Best backup software to use for Windows 10?

I ask because I currently use Acronis 2015. However, the software itself is very buggy (making my computer hang upon shutdown, certain UI buttons not working or freezing the program, etc.). I was wondering what some other good backup software solutions there were? Or is Acronis 2016 or 2017 better in terms of these bugs?

Depends on what exactly you are wanting to backup.

The whole C drive? I use Macrium Reflect. Create a full image every night at 2AM, off to another drive.

Just files and folders?
SyncBack Free Whichever files/folders you want, on a schedule you set.

Or both...:)

I've found the 'backup' thing built into Windows to be less than useful.

I just find it rather limiting.

If you have things on other drives, outside of the Libraries, oh well.

Every time I've tried the backup in Windows, I've run into bugs. Also MS often changes it from release to release, making the older backups hard to get to and use. Why not just let something like Macrium Reflect or Easeus Todo Backup make full system backups to an external hard drive often? Both have free versions for non-commercial use, and external hard drives aren't very expensive. You can selectively restore files or folders if needed, and you can restore your whole system when the time inevitably comes that you need it. It's been working fine for me for about 35 years now.
