[SOLVED] Best bets to buy a RTX 3070 in the UK?

Hi, I'm planning on doing my first build and have been told to aim for a RTX 3070 GPU rather than a higher end 20 series. From what I've heard about the 3080 release, it'll be almost impossible to get a 3070 on release, is this true?

I live in the UK and can see that the release will be around 2 pm on the 29th, if it's unlikely that I'm able to get a founder card directly from Nvidia will there be any serious difference with me getting a 3rd party card from overclockers/currys etc?

Also would a 3070 be able to run with a Ryzen 7 3700X and a 650W 80+ Gold PSU? I've heard this would be the minimum PSU.

Any advice would be really appreciated as I'm very new to this!

When the 3080 released I managed to get one from scan.co.uk. The other sites all seemed to crash immediately.

From this their going to be very limited stock again. This is just one shop but from what they actual got compared to what they ordered ouch.

I’m running a 3080 on a 3700x and platinum 650w. Under stress testing it peaked at 546w at the wall. With a 3070 you have more headroom.

KFA2 is the euro brand of GALAX I think mindfactory and others sell them. 650W PSU is min but i would recommend a higher wattage so you have some breathing room.
