After realizing that my FM2 setup is outdated and my current setup isn't good enough for 4k media.. i've opted to start fresh except from my PSU 500w.

So ill need cpu, gpu, mobo and ram and looking to do it as cheap as possible.

So what is the best budget APU available ? the APU will save me money on the GPU/CPU and ill pickup a cheap mobo and ram for it.

Infact im open to suggestions for the whole list if you can hit me with a cheap price thanks :D

Solution
You will be over more than that, when that PSU dies, and takes your system with it. PSU quality is not something you should really skimp on.

A ryzen 3 2200g, or 3200g, is as low as I would recommend. What is the system budget, and make/model of said power supply? Wattage means nothing, if the quality is poor, and you don't want a poor quality PSU dying and taking your hardware with it.

sorry was actually off doing some comparison stuff and ended up getting carried away lol

Managed to price this up for £200

Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3000 MHz C15 XMP 2.0 High Performance Desktop Memory Kit, Black

ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 Socket AM4/ AMD Promontory B450/ DDR4/ SATA3&USB3.1/ M.2/ A&GbE/MicroATX Motherboard

AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Processor with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics - Wraith Stealth Cooler - YD2200C5FBBOX

Is this decent or can you think of a better/cheaper setup ?

Id also considered paying a bit extra for the ryzen 5 3400g instead of the 3 2200g but a lot of comparison sites have them pretty close considering the price jump.

I could possibly claw back the price difference with the ram as I only opted for 3000 as it was suggested it bring out the best of the 2200g but maybe the speed isn't as important with the 3400g ?

Is this your power supply?

https://sierra-indigo.com/win-power-ad-e500ae-a5-a6-power-supply-500w-psu/

If so, you're in the market for a new power supply too. The only thing this power supply ought to be connected to is the conveyer belt at the recycling center.

yeah that's the one lol!

Its served me well in this machine but if you think it really needs swapped out can you suggest a really cheap one for me ? im already 130 over what I planned to spend to start with .

im probs best dropping down from the ryzen 5 3400g to ryzen 3 2200g then to save money for the psu ?
