Hello,

I want to built new rig but under strict budget only...

AMD A10-5800 or Intel i3-3220?

Mostly it will be used for Gaming, Internet surfing and Multimedia works.. no commercial use.

CPU+MOBO+RAM = Rs 17000 ($ 310)

Already have HD 6670 1Gb DDR5, so no plan to upgrade card I bought 3 months back only.. I have also got PSU + Heat sink from cooler master..

Just wanted to finalize on CPU.. AMD or Intel?

I3 is the better card due to better IPC. When you get enough money you can always later upgrade this to i5 which (I'm sorry to say) bests most AMD cards...

Remember that your GPU will greatly affect gaming... More so then your processor.

Edit: just to note the amd a10 will be a fine card for gaming... And you could upgrade to an fx-8350 in the future. This has similar performance to the i5 in gaming.

Yep i5 is absolute phenomena for gaming.. but it is little bit costly.. I went for i3-3220 because of less power consumption & less heat.. and cheaper as well.. but looking for great gaming experience under budget then I think AMD is good option..

Understandably the i5 is out of the current budget. But in speculation on a socket 1155 you can upgrade hypothetically to it in the future. i3 looks to be better clock for clock from most benchmarks than the a10... Either is fine for what your looking for however.

I were keen on i3-3220 after looking at this.. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/675?vs=677

You don't have to think twice..

A10 and 8350 do not use the same CPU socket

A10 is on FM2
8350 is AM3+

Headsup

OP get the 3220 it's pretty nice I have one.

EDIT : I see you did

Do not listen to this guy, the A10 uses FM2 socket and 8350 uses AM3+ so you will not be able to upgrade if you go the A10 route without upgrading mobo as well. I would probably still go the A10 route for crossfire purposes and in the end achieve greater gaming performance.

I've seen few of them of Z77 chipset... looks impressive at competitive price...

Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H - Rs 8100
ASRock Z77 Pro4 - Rs 8500
ASRock Z77 Pro3 - Rs 7400

Any other suggestions??? Please let me know at Indian Market price only...
