I am building my new beginner gaming pc online and have come across some issues when choosing the parts. Videos such as this one (http://bit.ly/1K5rsp7) suggest that a intel processor + GTX 750 ti would be a good budget pc option however, after asking people who have more knowledge of pc building, they redirect me to a AMD gpu saying that it performs better for around the same price. I have always been with nvidia and never had issues. I have tried amd and it has never worked out as well as nvidia. So I am looking for someone to recommend me some parts that I could put in my new entry level gaming pc. I want to be able to play games at 1080p at medium settings 60fps but I don't mind turning down the graphics further if it means I can get consistent fps. Also I want to be able to render videos but I do not mind waiting for a long time while they render. I also don't mind spending a lot on a motherboard as this will allow me to easy switch out my parts for better ones later one, and I would like a intel cpu and nvidia gpu but I am open to someone persuading me to go amd. This is the first pc will be building and am new to this.
I am in the UK and I want to spend around £600 but I will happily stretch for parts I need.

2 cents short of 600.

I'm going with NVidia for this one because I feel like AMD GPUs are a little overpriced in other countries. The price/performance is a lot more worth it if you go with NVidia in countries other than the US. A 280x there is roughly 210 Pounds, which is about 330 USD. A GTX 960 there is rougly 160, which equals about 250 USD. Also, the performance boost is slight, therefore not being worth it.

With this build, you can always throw in another graphics card in without having to buy a new PSU.

The case is actually really yours to choose.

Code:
Chose Hamzahfelix as the solution, although worth considering is a R9 390 (Non-x) It's a bit better than the 970 but you'll need a bigger power supply.

The 970 is really the perfect 1080p card.
