Best budget Motherboard and Power Supply for FX-6300

I would want to get ASRock 980DE3/U3S3 R2.0 and Inter-Tech Energon 650W for a FX-6300 and AMD Radeon R7 200 series.
Is anything better around the same price?

really you want to avoid the amd as you get better performance per $ out of intel

Go with i3, you get much better performance. Get a i3 6300 with H110M-ITX and your set. Besides wait a bit for the new Polaris 460 cards, should be a very decent budget gaming card.

I use AMD FX6300 paired up to an MSG 970 Gaming Motherboard. Supported by an Antec 550 P PSU & a Zotac 560 SE GPU, it gives me very good performance. When I used to use GA 78 LMT USB3 mobo, then also it used to give me good performance. I would strongly advise not to go for an i3 at this stage. AMD FX 6300 is the best bang for the buck CPU. Or else, weight a little bit and see what the AMD Zen processors have to offer.

I think you will get a better deal out of GA 78LMT USB3 mobo. Although, the chipset is older one, this mobo is cheaper & will support OCing. for PSU, if your GPU is not that power hungry, go for any 80+ rated PSU.

Asrock is good. But Gigabyte has some seriously good mossfits on there VRM. Better for OCing. I know coz I have used this mobo in my initial build.
