Best budget psu?

i am looking to buy a psu but only around £40 i also need 4 sata one 6-pin and it has to be 500w

If you want a PSU at that price you're gonna get pretty much a garbage one that'll last only so long before it dies, or kills your system. Spend more money & get some quality - SeaSonic G Series are amazing for the price, are energy efficient, affordable at 85 USD, and they are pretty much silent. I don't know how it converts into euros, but if you want a good PSU, a SeaSonic will do the job & do it better than most.

a decent 500w for about £40 is abit tricky. there are some ok~ish options in the corsair cx500 & antec vp550p for around £45, but if you can stretch the budget alittle fucther up to just over £52, you'd have http://www.dabs.com/products/antec-520w-high-current-gamer-80plus-bronze-psu-7QST.html?src=3

Hi - jpoos linked you a good one if you can stretch a
couple pounds.

I don't recommend the Coolermaster elite or extreme series,
too many failed lab tests, and the Zalman zm is iffy at best.
