'Best' is subjective.

$7,500 is an extreme amount of money to spend on a build - with severely diminishing returns from $2,500+.

Unless you're looking at a rendering/editing machine that needs to annihilate 4K+ video, with numerous 4K monitors in use, there's unlikely to be any justifiable reason to spend that much.

Wolfshadow is right on the money. $3,000 is about the most you could possibly spend on a gaming machine before you're paying for bragging rights lol.

What is this machine doing?

And this machine won't really be built as that's a lot of money it's just a dream or IF I wanted to. So I can know what it would be.

Lol - I don't want to be a dick (ok maybe I do a little) but if you don't game, render high resolution videos, or work with massive datasets you don't need to spend more than $1,500 on a computer.

I don't really game in real life but if I were ever to and do all of what you said and more like seti and folding and what not

Ok, since this is a hypothetical, I'll put this here:

There's nothing that wouldn't do, and do very, very well.

Does it do anything 4x better than a $2,000 rig though? Probably not.

I'm just going to do a crazy person build. Here's the most expensive available parts all put together. Hint its the same as the down payment for a house. 😛
