hi there, which parts do i need to run gta v maxed at 1080p? I'd like to build a system for that with also a bit future-proofing

What is your budget? A Radeon R380 would run it at 1080P fine for $220. But if you ever want to get into 1440P or even 4k gaming you'll need better like an R9 Fury.

As for the rest an AMD FX based system is least expensive and will do the job. If you want future proofing an Intel Skylake is super fast and supports DDR 4 and the boards come with USB 3.1. In 2016 AMD is releasing Zen which will compete directly with the Intel Skylake stuff and may even surpass it.

It really depends on your budget.

1) AMD CPU is only recommended IMO for budget builds. The CPU will throttle most half decent GPU's by quite a lot in many games (especially with AMD GPU's in DX11 games due to inefficient DX11 drivers)

2) i5-4690K may be the best CPU depending on total budget.

3) GTX960 4GB is my recommended minimum.

4) budget, budget, budget.... can't advise too much except perhaps give a MINIMUM recommend.

5) Future proofing?
I hate the term but my answer right now would be something like THIS:

i5-4690K,
16GB DDR3 (2x8GB) 2133MHz C9
GTX980Ti
etc

The GTX980Ti has 6GB of VRAM which is really important for future proofing. I should also add that I prefer G-SYNC to FreeSync which requires an NVidia GPU though I'm still waiting for prices to drop and quality to improve.

You should really get over the so called maxed out high settings, looks just about the same. Max is more for just bragging rights.
Future proofing is a myth tech changes to fast but this would be a very good performing PC, You could change the processor to a 6700K and get the ti version of the video card if funds allows. The case more or less comes down to the looks you like.

Some good builds recommended. If the budget allows, as already recommended a monitor with GSync or Free Sync is amazing. GSync is a bit better though. AMD however looks better for future DirectX 12 games. And with a good monitor FreeSync ins't that bad.
