I need a good gaming nvidia graphics card for my motherboard
Asus P5kPL-vm (intel g31 chipset) at below 60-70$
I am currently using Sapphire HD 5450 1GB
which is really bad for gaming.. I have to play at lowest resulation in my 15 inch monitor. still it cant handle the newer games.
like ghost recon future soldier.
I want to play all the newer games in my 15 inch monitor.
later on I will change my whole system. now I just want to buy a card at cheap price and play games .

my computers specifications are:
Intel Core 2 duo E4500 @ 2.2 GHz
Asus P5kPL-vm (intel g31 chipset) [ PCIe 2.0 x16slot]
Ram 3GB DDR2
15 inch CRT monitor

I dont want to buy any ATI card. please suggest me only Nvidia.

GT 630 is slower and overprice than hd 6670.

I am running DDR5 hd6770 with DDR2 ram. No problem. Just dont worry. You will be fine with DDR5 hd6670 in your system.

That's not a valid reason.
And how does your motherboard suits nvida ?

5450 is the slowest card in ati 5000 series. Ever tried with 5770 or better in your system?

8600gt is more powerful than 5450 which is similar nvidia 8400gs. Nvidia 8400gs is as slow as 5450. So no need to hate Ati.

Buy a decent ati card and you will be fine.

my motherboard Expansion Slots:
1 x PCIe x16
1 x PCIe x1
2 x PCI
i mentioned the wrong one earlier.. sorry for the mistake.
is HD 6670 going to be ok with 1 x PCIe 1x16 ?
Or i have to buy the DDR3 version instead of DDR5

Either card will work. 1x PCIe x16 means that your system will support an add in graphics card.

The 6670 will be fine. The DDR5 version is faster, the DDR3 slower and cheaper.

Think of it like this. You can buy a car (Graphics Card) with either a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder engine. The 4 cylinder (DDR3 version) has less power and is cheaper. The 6 cylinder (DDR5 version) has more power and is more expensive but otherwise the same car. Then think of your 1x PCIe x16 (Graphics Card Slot) as a 1 car garage. Regardless of which car you buy, you can still park it in your garage.

95% change it will, 5% it won't. Not all 1.0 mobo's are compatible with the 2.1 standard from the 6670.

DDR version doesn't matter.

Just a question that came to mind which can help the OP. Will his CPU bottleneck the 6670 for him to see any performance improvement?

Also what about the HD 6750 instead of 6670?

It will bottleneck a bit maybe with the 2.2 Ghz, so the 6570 will do so for sure. Also use a bit more power and i think the op might have a low power psu, didn't establish that yet anyway. ( got late in the thread )

He will definitely see an improvement though.
