Best cabinet for my situation.

Hi, i have a cm storm trooper case and i am bored with it, i dont like its all time weird armoured vehicle inspired design, it gets dusty too much quickly, i have installed 2x120mm fans at front and side as well as 1x140 at back and 1x200mm at the top of the case, [i dont want watercooling as it has leakage problems]. So, i have decided to get the corsair obsidian 750d but it does not have side panel fans,so does it effect significantly to the tempretures and perfomence caused by tempretures of my system?Are side panel fans are necessary? And yes i want the FINAL-DETAILED-PROPER ANSWER PLEASE. I ASKED ABOUT THAT BEFORE BUT THE ANSWER GIVING PEOPLES ARE STARTED ARGUING ON EACH OTHER'S ANSWERS LEAVING MY ISSUE SOMEWHERE ELSE. SO PLEASE HELP ME WITH THAT.

I don't use a side fan. I have one front and one back. my i5-2500k 3.3GHz Base, 4.6GHz Turbo with Cooler Master 212 EVO idles at 29C and hits 55C under stress testing. I think that proves the side fan isn't needed if you have a good front and back fan.

But this is a loaded question, you will get arguments from people because both methods work.

I would say a side fan is more important in smaller cases.

I would use the side panels to keep accidents from happening. I know some a person who removed the side panel on his case and used a box fan to keep his components cool, but he had a very constricted case that was designed for much less heat then today's computers produce. With the side panels off its to easy for some derbies, liquid, pets, small children to get in the computer.

As for differences between the 760t and 760d I can say I have no idea, they are both beautiful and fairly expensive cases. When they go on discount online its tempting not to pick up the 760d. I was not aware of the 760t until you mentioned it. I suggest reading reviews on each case and then making up your mind then on which would best suit your needs. Keep in mind airflow from the front, out the back and top is the most important consideration for you since air cooling is something you emphasised. Second would be looks, Third priority should be cost.

Ok then, so what about the aesthetic ruining dvd drive of 750d? I am not gonna stop using the dvd drive.

You can't have it all. If you need the DVD drive, then install it even though it won't be a perfect match with the front of the case. If I bought that case I would also install my DVD drive. An alternate solution is to use a USB drive, but it's less convenient.

The 760t is an improved version of the 750d. I didn't realize you were more interested in the 750d then the newer and slightly better 760t. Where did you see that the 760t has a flex issue? In a review they mention that it has a flexible interior, but that's a great quality for any case.

I saw it in linus tech tips in which linus holds th case in his both hands and tries to twist it and it twisted a little bit, thats why i have doubt about the 760t's build quality as its side panels are too flexible.

Thats being really picky, obviously under normal use no one is going to try to twist a computer case - if it only twisted a little then I suspect you will have no problems with the case.

What about the top airflow of 760t as it has full cover on top having very slim gap for exhaust. Does it ruin the airflow of the case?

First of all any of the new cases without side fans really do not need them as the case is already designed for great airflow without a side fan.

Now the reason for my post is I just built my wife a machine and use the Phantek Enthoo Pro Full Tower case, and I was literally blown away with the quality of the case, and will probably get one for myself.

If you have not pulled the trigger and made your purchase yet, I urge you to take a good look at it, I promise, you will not be dissatisfied with it!

Plus the price for this level of quality is fantastic as well!

Not at all; it has enough airflow to keep a powerful system cool.

It's a nice case, but unlike the 760t, the DVD drive is visible.

I absolutely agree and respect your opinion ryan. But phanteks case is expensive. As you said cases without side fans are made for proper airflow, so what about my cm storm trooper case which has 2x120mm on side. ?

No; it's designed like that and that was taken into account. It's total airflow through the case that's important, not where air enters into it. You probably aren't yet ready to spend money on a new case that won't necessarily provide better cooling; all you'll gain is a better looking case.
