Best cable modems ?

Hi, I'm looking for the best cable modems under $200. I'm quite flexible with the budget. I know nothing about them so please explain your recommendation if possible.

If you're just looking at a modem (and not a modem/router or WiFi), then so long as it supports DOCSIS 3.0, there's not going to be much difference.

I'm using the d-link dcm 202, I don't think it supports DOCSIS 3 . So what do you reccomend ?

DOCSIS 3.0 is only really useful if it's a high-speed connection. Unless your ISP says you need to upgrade your modem to get faster speeds, DOCSIS 2.0 should be enough.

My connection speeds are 20mb/s download and 1mb/s upload , but I'm planning to upgrade to 200mb/s upload and download on Fiber. Should I still upgrade ?

If it's fibre, you usually won't need a cable modem. Depending on their exact definition - many ISPs are playing fast & loose with the term and calling VDSL and other tech 'fibre'.
