I am planning on buying a new video card, I have a gtx 260 c216 sc edition and I think it is time to upgrade. My limit is approximately 330 dlls with shipping (maybe 335).
Good options
: ATI
Amazon is selling sapphire hd 6950 for $265
Nvidia
Amazon was selling an msi twin frozr III (not II) for $329 but suddenly it went full retard and upped the price to $370
Tiger Direct is selling Asus monstrous direccu 570 for $319

Every 6970 is still expensive and not worth it.

Will a 6950 outperform my old but decent 260 by at least 80%? Or should I wait for the twin frozr 570 prices to drop again? The Asus card is too big, and I dont feel like buying egva, their cards are too bland looking and i dont trust stock coolers. Thanks.

NOTE: I am using a 1920x1200 monitor (not 1080p LOL).

Solution
According to the benchmark of the alpha trial

I know the site is in Russian but here are the benchmarks of max settings dx 11 1080p

And here are the results for dx 10...

A 6950 would be way better than your 260, it is of course the cheapest option if you want to play native resolution.

And I say just wait till like 2 weeks before the game drops just to see if you can get it on sale.

A GTX 560 Ti would also be nice and a bit cheaper than the 6950.

there are like 4-7 different EVGA hd 570's with the same clocks and name, what's the difference? because some of them cost more than others.
