Long post alert:

I don't like the exterior design of the NZXT case, but that's just a personal preference. The case I mentioned owning earlier, the HAF X looks great in my eyes, but other people think it's ugly. I happen to dislike the look of the NZXT cases in general, and tend not to go with their cases, so I have never owned or looked in depth at an NZXT case.

That said, I'm sure either case would do a fantastic job. Since the NZXT is a larger case than the Corsair, it has more 3.5 and 5.25 bays. If you have a lot of hard drives, that may be...

What are you looking for in a case? Different cases are good for different things. If you just want quality, that's different than wanting a silent case.

There's no one best case, otherwise there would be no market for any others.

This case is on sale right now, and has free shipping. It is a slightly smaller and less-featured version of the HAF-X, the flagship case.

It is a silent, high performance case. It will fit most ATX variations, including larger than average motherboards. I expect my HAF-X to last me until ATX goes the way of AT :)

thanks for the quick replay =) the kind of case im looking for is a mid size ATX case that isnt to loud and has good cooling, and good cable management. im not going to be using water cooling or anything. if that makes a difference. i really would like to find a case that allows u to run your cables behind the motherboard.

i really like the case in your link seems to have everything im looking for. id like to check out a few more though before i decide.

The only thing is, that case is quite big - not at all mid-sized.

L*W*H 22.70" x 9.00" x 21.50"

If you have a store with a display area nearby, like a Tigerdirect, you should go and take a look at one of these before you buy it. It's a great case, but consider that it's a full tower.

For a cheaper mid-tower case in a similar style, try this one:

I like this one

That's actually quite a nice case

i really like both of these cases. mostly because of their cable manegment. let me know what u think. and if u have any other suggestions.

^ The corsair case is not a full tower case, and as such will not support larger than standard ATX boards. Mid tower cases are, however, fine for standard ATX builds.

I don't like the NZXT cases because of the designs they have, but internally it looks like a nice option. It will be more than $150 shipped though.

If you have a lot of hard drives, that may be a part of your decision. I am partial to the Cooler Master cases, since all of my experiences with their cases have been good.

I recommended the HAF 932 and 922 earlier, and stand by those recommendations, but when choosing a case, a lot of it comes down to your personal tastes. Which of the cases in this thread would you rather look at on or under your desk?

Size is also a consideration. The NZXT and 932 are full tower cases, and are taller than either the Corsair or the 922. The only thing about the 932 is that it is significantly on sale right now, and the current price may not last too much longer.

Both of the cases in your latest post are good, highly reviewed cases. Any of the cases in this thread will get the job done. Now it's just personal taste.

thanks for the response dude uve been extermly helpful. befor i make up my mind i think im going to go to a store and see if i can actually get my hands on these cases i bet once i do that ill know for sure which one i want. once i do that ill update this thread and let u kow what i decided on. :D and thanks again for taking the time to help me

You could also have a look at the Antec 902, i have that case myself. It is relatively big and wont fit some of the massive graphics cards but the cooling and build quality are phenomenal and the cable management is pretty good although i hope you have a modular PSU :p

P.S. There is a fan controller for every fan on the case as well which is a nice feature.

Good plan. Like I said, it comes down to the physical presence of the case, something you can't really get a feel for online.

Totally forgot about Antec. Another good option here, I was considering the 900 once upon a time, and this seems to be an update to it. Looks good online.
