My PC is a prebuilt by HP and the CPU came with a crappy HP cooler. My temps run on the hot side with 37 C idle and up to 90 C while gaming. Right now the Hyper 212 Black and the Pure Rock 2 seem to be ideal choices for their price.

Solution
Hello.
I would suggest looking into an Arctic Freezer 34 DUO, it's about the same price range as the ones you mentioned and has proved to me that it has really good cooling capabilities, also the fans are really nice and don't make a lot of noise.
Tom's Hardware themselves did a review on this, might want to check that out as well.
Really nice cooler.

HP prebuilts come in a variety of sizes and shapes. What cooler you can use depends on the clearance from the motherboard to the case side panel. Also sometimes HP use a non standard cooler mount on the motherboard.
You would probably get a better answer if you post the exact model of your HP.
