Best cheap GPU for i5-2400

I have an i5-2400, 8gb ddr3 1333mhz no gpu 500w psu but i only have a budget of $50 aud can you guys help me out

50 bucks is very low. Look around Craigslist and see if you can score a GTX 750ti 2gb or higher, or maybe a Radeon 7850. Sometimes you can score those for like 60.

for 50 aud theres almost nothing you can buy that's less than 5 years old. Maybe with a little patience you could get a 650ti from ebay

As other people have said $50 is quite low. The i5-2400 is still a very capable CPU and can be paired with many mid range 1080p GPU's. I suggest you save up around $150 and pair it with a GTX 1050 TI, Radeon HD 7970 or a 650 TI as some other person has recommended. If you can find a mid range used GPU that you can pair it with. Also your 500 watt PSU is good enough to handle the GPU's listed.
