Best Cherry MX Brown Keyboard Under $50?

Solution

Hey Michael, Basroil definitely has a point there. So, on a budget, you should either wait until you can get some more money together, or look for a similar alternative. Kailh switches are some of the best alternatives to Cherry MX switches and for a first time mechanical keyboard user, you probably won't be able to notice the difference. Shopping for alternatives, however, will also force your price up because mechanical keyboards are hardly, if ever, under $50 if they are of good quality. Some keyboards reasonably close to your budget are the following:

The first two also feature backlighting, so they are well worth their price. Also, I've used the RGB variant of the AZIO so from experience I know that it is a very well built keyboard with a really professional brushed aluminum plate and aesthetic overall. Aside from that, Cooler Master showed off a new keyboard series at CES ( http://www.coolermaster.com/ces/?ref=community ) that they call a membrane keyboard with a mechanical feel. LinusTechTips also has a video about this if you want to look into that option and wait for it. Sorry, I would fetch the link, but I currently don't have full internet access :)

That one definitely looks good at such a low price. It went completely unnoticed by me, but I'm glad that you found it and it suits you :)

Oh okay, that makes sense, I thought it was just some guy desperate to feel like he helped haha, thanks :)

Thats just not true. Look for sales on the Rosewill RK-9000v2 BR or one of the Cooler Master keyboards with browns. They can both be found on a regular basis for under $85. I got one of the Rosewills a few months back for $70 with some o-rings included. It has Cherry MX Brown switches.
