best chipset for conroe, 975x or 965

Anyone know if the newer 965 chipset is faster than the 975x boards?

Performance at this stage is nearly equal at this stage.

The 965 supports the newer ich8 memory controller, but is less overclockable than the 975 (in the memory department - but it might change with refined bios updates). The 965 also has a better chance (not sure if all 965 mobo's will) for quad core cpu's.
