Hi guys,

I would like to aks you for help about choosing monitor primary for PC gaming. My current PC is shortly specified below. I prefer better panel than TN. All my previous monitors has TN panel but I would like to make a change. I know that IPS and (M)VA panels are quite slower, but I found on forums, that max response time of monitor (GtG, BtB etc.) has to be 16,6 ms (1000 ms / 60 Hz). But maybe I'm wrong. That's why I would like to ask you and I will be glad for any shared experience you can give me.

I would like to find best monitor choice with these specification:
- 16:9 ratio because of streaming (Twitch requires it)
- at least 24", 1980 x 1050
- 60Hz (since now I have 60Hz monitor)
- price up to $200 - $280 (could be higher but not much)
- I would like to avoid monitors with ghosting, big inputlags and etc. what gamers usually don't like

My current PC is:
Nvidia MSI GTX970, Intel i7-4970K, GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-Gaming 3

I usually playing games like WoW:WoD, LoL, DOTA, Heroes of the Storms, Battlefield and etc. so I'm not sure if I will use 144Hz. I do not plan to play games like Counter Strike, where you need to know every fast move of player. I prefer better quality of screen but not at the expense of performance.

If I'm totally wrong with my thoughts, please suggest me better options.

My current LCDs:
LG flatron W2252TQ - primary monitor - for games
Acer AL2016w - secondary monitor - browser, PC performance monitoring etc.

Thank you very much

But this is my idea. You can suggest something better according to your experience.

You see what I was thinking is if you get an ultra wide screen, whack your game into a borderless window (1920x1080) and have the stream's chat on the remainder of the screen with the twitch chat it may give an immersive feel.

Suggestions:

Standard 16:9

So I was thinking about a dual monitor set up as well, hence the idea of two of the exact same monitor.

Ultra wide screen:
