Hi all,
I'm looking for a chromebook for school and I'm looking to spend 200-300 on it. It seems like the various models are all getting different reviews depending on where i look, so i was wondering what you guys would recommend. So far I've looked into the Dell Chromebook 11 (impossible to find), the Toshiba Chromebook, and the HP Chromebook 11 and 14 but I'm open to anything.
Thanks

Okay awesome, those ones look good. Will the processors hold up against the ones in the Toshiba or HP though? I'm reading around and it looks like they benchmark a bit lower
Thanks!

Why a chromebook? Is it a requirement?

You can purchase a fairly inexpensive laptop for $300 - $375 that would be more powerful and also more versatile.

Here's a decent laptop for $350, a 15.6" HP Laptop.

Here's another 15.6" HP laptop for $300. It uses a low power quad core AMD A8 APU. It is not as powerful as a "normal power" quad core AMD APU, but it should still be powerful enough for academic needs.

I honestly just dont really need the processing power for what I'm looking to use it for. I have a pretty powerful desktop that I use for most of my needs, the chromebook is literally just for walking around campus and taking notes. All my gaming, image editing, etc. is all done on my desktop. I picked the chromebook because I was really far more interested in portability than performance given what I'm looking to use it for and didn't see the need for anything more.
