Acrylic is clearer and handle more kind of fluids.
The downside is that it is brittle and can break if you dont take alittle care when installing it. Alittle harder to work with than PETG.
PETG you will not break. It has alittle blue shine in it, but not mutch at all. In my build (I use plain clear pre-mix) I cant see the difference to be honest.
Very easy to work with.
Branding of tubes do matter in fact from what I have seen.
Premium supplyers tend to have tubes with less flaws in them (bubbles, scratches, etc) and the ID / OD on the tubes is more precise.
I belive (but I am unsure) only way to get whte atm is by using an pastel fluid.
I myself dont want to use pastels cause of the darn cleaning job you have to do down the line...
