Best compatible CPU

Hi, I have a DC5750 with an AM2 socket. I currently have a AMD athlon X2 6000+ 3.0GHz CPU. I heard that better CPUs are compatible with my mobo but I'm not sure. I'm not looking for CPUs that are officially supported. I just want one that will fit and work. I also heard that if I could find a bios upgrade that can support AM3, I could use those CPUs. Any suggestions?

Well you got what is known to work highest, any thing newer like AM3 may not work at all because of no BIOS support. Not nearly all AM2 boards supported AM2+ let alone AM3 CPU's.

Dwonload and run CPU-Z to find out what motherboard you have in there. Ideally take a screenshot of CPU Z and post it here for us to take a look.
