Hi guys, I know this question has been asked a few times on here but I'd just like a simple list/answer for the best components I could buy for an i5-6600K within my price range to use for gaming.

My budget is £80-150 for the motherboard, £50-80 for RAM (preferably 2x8GB sticks, but ok with 2x4GB too), and £20-100 for a decent liquid cooler (bold as a lot of threads I've seen ask for air, but I'd prefer a liquid cooler). Components will be run off of a Corsair CX750M power supply.

As far as graphics goes, I'm using a Sapphire Radeon R9 270X that will most likely be replaced in the future, but for now it'll do.

I'd prefer full ATX form factor on the motherboard, DDR4 for both the motherboard and RAM, and maybe a few pros and cons if anybody knows any for what they have suggested. Unfortunately due to my case restrictions I'm limited to a single radiator for the cooler, but if there aren't any good ones for that price then I am ok with buying a new case (suggestions welcome, preferably Mid Tower).

Cheers all.

Here's my suggestion.

Any reason why you're set on liquid cooling? Single-fan radiators aren't worth it from a price/performance standpoint.

I highly recommend that you change the CX750M, as it's a low-quality unit that isn't suitable for gaming, and certainly not suitable for overclocking. Go for an EVGA Supernova G2 or anything from tier one in the PSU tier list; www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html.

There's no particular reason, just that I thought it'd be better to have a liquid cooler in there - but if there's decent air coolers then that's all good with me. I'll need to buy a new case for a dual rad, but thanks for letting me know it's not worth it. I have a h80i GT in my current build, but I must admit it's not the best and VERY loud (from my point of view).

I've seen the motherboard before, it looks pretty suitable for what I need. Could you perhaps give me a comparison/mini review between this board and the ASUS Z170-A?

Thanks for the EVGA recommendation, I'm definitely not happy with the CX750M bronze series in the build. I'll add it to my spec sheet of things to buy. :)

A Cryorig H7 is a good starting point, followed by a Cooler Master V8 GTS (or Dark Rock Pro 3) and finally a Noctua NH-D15.

I don't have any first-hand experience with either motherboard, or the Z170 chipset, but I've used three MSI motherboards in previous builds and none of them put a foot wrong.

As both motherboards use the same chipset and retail for the same price, you'll find that the specification is much the same.

Good call on the coolers, I'll have a look at getting one of them.

Thanks for your help, I'll get the motherboard you recommended. :)
