Im not sure whether or not Minecraft is a CPU or GPU dependant game however on my pc now ( http://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c04341331 ) or hp pavilion 500-326na gets around 180fps to 80 fps however the lag spikes on the game are killing me so i want to upgrade my PC i was just wondering what Components are best to upgrade and what i should upgrade too for at least 150 fps constantly never really going below thanks for all your help.

Solution

teh cpu is the issue unless your running shaders then its both
download optifine and set the world loading the multi core and that will help but when you run a bunch of mods or are on a large server then its your cpu because its slow

Thank you so much i needed this. I will sell it however if you were to guess the amount of fps i will be getting that would be amazing thank you. For minecraft and csgo on medium settings :)

im going with at minimum 85fps but more like 120+ and even more with optifine on 1.7.10 and on 1.8 and newer a bit less like around 75
and on csgo no idea on medium but i think you can most of the time pull 60-fps max settings :)
