Best computer for 800 pound?

Solution
Same performance for 730 quid :) changed to case to cheaper, a different brand 280x, and a regular HDD instead of the WD Black

I'd get a stronger PSU, may be the XFX 750 - just for overclocking overheads and case modding / fan stuff. Yes it's overkill, but also will help towards future SLI, if the Maxwell architecture reduces power consumption as much as they did for mobile GPUs
also get a nicer case. You can't get a phantom 410 since the 280X won't fit. May be something like a haf 912.
Or you can chuck in an SSD
also OP do you need a monitor?

Im not that good on makes of products but I just need a decent sized monitor and keyboard, not that much of a competitive gamer something not too shabby, honestly if this thing just runs games really well im not that bothered about maxing it out, but if you could provide me a link ill look up on the products you've mentioned. Thanks for the help

Yeah man, the monitor and keyboard dont really matter, i can wait/save up for them, i just need the most powerful machine for 800/850. Sorry for being abit of a newbie when it comes to this.

The 550w power supply has PLENTY of power to overclock the CPU and graphics card with plenty of headroom for longevity as well.

OP, the i5-4670k + 280x will get you Ultra/Max at 1080p for a good while. The 3GB of VRAM in the 280x will also be good for future-proofing. You'll get very, very good performance at that price.

Definitely, it's a great bang for the buck build, with good quality parts, and like I said, will get you Ultra/Max at 1080p :) If you want to spend every last quid of 800 you can get a bit more power, but I don't think any more is necessary for 1080p.

To stay under 800 quid, you could get a Noctua cooler and better OC motherboard to pump out more power:

Windows 7 is indeed cheaper but you can easily make Windows 8 look like Windows 7 if you prefer.
