My bother in law is needing a new computer since he got a $500 best buy gift card. I tried looking into buying parts from best buy and building one but they dont have any motherboards according to PCPARTPICKER. I also think it would be easier for me just to recommend one to buy. Has to be from best buy

With the rest of the money,a mouse and keyboard is needed.

Can anyone recommend me one?

Thanks

^ what he said. you can build a somewhat better quality computer with that money but you wont beat the price of a 'good' deal of a prebuilt computer from best buy, again especially considering the OS along with an easy warranty. any performance differences would be miniscule.

i3-4170 1tb 8gb 23" 1080p ips keyboard/mouse win10 1 year warranty

just consider the basic keyboard mouse 1080p 23" dell ips screen and win10 costs a bare minimum of about $250. you could build an i3-4170 1tb 8gb rig for about the same, but it sure seems like a pain to piece it all together.

here is a laughable system i would not recommend paying money for at the absolute lowest price...

I said I didnt want to build it.....

Thanks! I didnt want to build it in the first place. this seems perfect. All that they will need.

So then see what is available for that price from BestBuy.

good comparison, but you can not compare TN Acer to Dell IPS, it is like day and night difference in color reproduction. TN is good only for hardcore gamers and for tight budget, change Acer for IPS 23" and your total will get closer to $600. also, you forgot OS and monitor for the funny build, therefore loosing at least $150 or so (if you picked up WinXP or Vista, LOL).

Pus TAX will make it roughly $545 or so..... Over the budget, DAMN.

No, it is a good choice overall, plus it is GPU upgradable in the future to GTX 750 TI without power supply upgrade and much more with power supply upgrade....
