I'm looking for a very good conversion platform to convert docx and jpg to a pdf. I'm attempting to "open" jpg's, however given my situation-I'm not able to open nor have the ability to convert these types of documents. Are their any "good" programs out there?.. Thanks again very much for any responds.

Try PrimoPDF - http://www.primopdf.com/

The free version should be enough. To convert to PDF you can drag n drop files into the desktop shortcut it creates. It also adds a virtual printer so you can essentially "print to PDF" from any program that allows printing.

Microsoft Office lets you "Export to PDF" or "Save As..."-> PDF just fine. It's included functionality since almost a decade ago already. If you don't have Office, you can use LibreOffice, OpenOffice, or even Google Drive to open and export as PDF (though compatibility isn't that great)

As for JPG images, you should NEVER need any other programs to open them. 100% of operating systems on computers, tablets, smartphones, cameras, video cameras, and more let you view JPG images as is. If you need to convert the file for any reason, it is a virus.
