Best Cooler for my needs?

Hi everyone,
I am about to purchase either an fx 8320 or 8350 for my new build. I was wondering what cooler would give me the best overclock. So far i have been looking at cooler around $50 such as the Xigmatech Dark knight. Is there any cooler that would provide a better overclock for less or around the same price? Thanks for all the help!

As lp231 suggested, the Hyper 212 Evo is a popular cooler. Another good brand is Noctua.

I see, Thank you. I was also wondering, do hardware prices usually drop after christmas? If so i feel like it would be worth it to wait the 2-3 weeks i have left.

Things like heatsinks really don't fluctuate much in price throughout the year. At best, you'll occasionally see some offered with mail-in rebates. Only all-in-one water coolers tend to be put on sale quite often as there is a boatload of companies that are putting out nearly identical models and expecting people to pick one over the other.

Back to heatsinks, the Hyper 212 line is pretty decent, though from from most benches I've seen, the Dark Knight cooler will outperform it by a few degrees, thanks to its use of thicker 8mm vs 6mm heatpipes. It's only about $15 more than a 212 evo, so you should probably decide if its looks and slight performance advantage are worth it to you.
