I just built myself a new pc and am thinking of upgrading the cooler to better over clock my Cpu. Currently I have an i7-5820k and a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. My case is a Corsair 750D. I am probably not going to do a custom water loop so I have been looking at either a better air cooler or a liquid cpu cooler. Does this upgrade make sense to do? I was thinking either a corsair h110 or the Noctua NH-D15. Which one will deliver tye best performance (cost is less of an issue), neither potentially? I also have a friend willing to buy my old cooler if I replace it.

Another thing for to consider is whether I should spend this money on a better video card or cooling. I have a gtx 580 right now so it might be better to buy something more powerful instead.

Well, you should upgrade your CPU cooler first, and the one which I recommend is Corsair H110i GTX. And the reason for this is you can't upgrade to a good GPU with the amount of money for good AIO CPU coolers.
